The automotive market in Pakistan showed incredible growth and resilience, with several major players reporting notable sales increases in September 2025.
Notably, the best-selling vehicle in the nation is the 660cc Alto hatchback, which helped Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) maintain its market leadership.
The Alto's sales soared to 4,718 units, a significant 13% month-over-month (MoM) growth and 50% year-over-year (YoY) increase.
The company's overall sales performance was equally excellent, with 8,997 units sold in September with a 79% YoY and 26% MoM growth.
Honda Atlas Cars (HCAR) became the largest grower among the major automakers, with total sales up 82% year over year and 2.15 times month over month to 2,307 units.
Leading the way were the City and Civic models, whose sales increased 73% year over year and 2.8 times month over month to 1,977 units.
In September, the company sold 1,429 units, with strong demand for its recently introduced HAVAL H6 PHEV variant driving Sazgar Engineering Works' (SAZEW) impressive 73% YoY and 36% MoM sales growth.
In the upcoming months, it is anticipated that the Pakistani automobile market will continue to grow due to rising demand and the introduction of new models.
Both Indus Motor Company (IMC) and Hyundai Nishat reported notable increases in sales, with IMC's sales rising 33% YoY to 3,152 units and Hyundai Nishat's sales rising 56% YoY to 1,175 units.
The nation's rising car demand and the automakers' attempts to launch fresh, cutting-edge models are the reasons behind the industry's impressive September 2025 performance.
