Samsung is preparing to introduce the Galaxy A36 and A56, as recent certifications point towards an upcoming launch. 

Offering a mix of advanced features and budget-friendly pricing, the Galaxy A series remains a popular choice.

The company might announce these devices at the Galaxy Unpacked event expected in March.

Global certifications confirm Samsung Galaxy A36 and A56 release

The Galaxy A36 and A56 have now secured Global Certification Forum (GCF) certification, signalling an early 2025 launch. They have also passed multiple other certifications, including FCC, TENAA, and Geekbench, confirming that Samsung is finalising approvals before making the phones official.

Detailed specifications were not revealed under the certification, but model numbers have been listed. The Galaxy A36 5G was spotted with model numbers SM-A366B/DS and SM-A366B, while the A56 5G emerged with model numbers SM-A566B/DS and SM-A566B. These versions are expected to be available in international markets.

Samsung Galaxy A36 and A56 will support 5G connectivity and come with NFC technology. The Galaxy A56 performed well in Geekbench tests, with scores close to the Snapdragon 888, hinting at a powerful processor.

Whereas, A36 was tested with 6GB RAM, which scored 316 points in single-core and 1455 points in multi-core tests. It may feature either the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or 7s Gen 2 chipset.

Moreover, equipped with Android 15 and One UI 7.0, the Galaxy A36 and A56 will offer an enhanced user experience. Samsung’s strong track record of software support ensures these smartphones will stay updated for a long time.
