Great news for Samsung Galaxy enthusiasts, as the South Korean tech giant’s upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra’s successor might have a new, yet familiar name marking the comeback of the Galaxy Note series after five years.
Previously, Samsung’s upcoming phone was to be named Galaxy S25 Ultra, however, now there are rumours that the tech giant might bring the Galaxy Note name back that hasn’t been used by the company since the launch of Galaxy Note 20 in 2020.
Since then Samsung has been integrating the most iconic feature of Galaxy Note phones, the S Pen, into the Galaxy S Ultra series, beginning with the release of Galaxy S21 Ultra in 2021.

According to the tipster @YogeshBrar, Samsung might release a “Galaxy S25 Note” instead of a “Galaxy S25 Ultra” in 2025.
Moreover, he said that the Korean company might be taking this step to differentiate itself from other manufacturers like Xiaomi, and Vivo that also use the Ultra have series of their smartphones.
As these are just rumours and nothing is confirmed yet the question arises if Samsung should go for the Galaxy Note name, as changing the name might disappoint some people while pleasing others once it goes public.
Despite the confusion in name, Samsung’s upcoming flagship is anticipated to introduce several new features compared to its successor Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The new phone might have a flatter front and back than previous models and will feature more rounded corners with thinner bezels reminding of the Galaxy Note 7.
Furthermore, it could also receive a significant Random Access Memory (RAM) update while many features might remain similar to the previous models.
Samsung might reveal its next Galaxy S phone lineup at the start of next year.
