Samsung recently reportedly took a brief dip in hot waters for not making the September security update available to the S23 series in the US.

Galaxy S23 users in Europe and India were also on the brink of freaking out at the company as the update made its way into the mentioned regions late last month.

As reported by Android Police, the September 2024 update has begun releasing in the US, coming as the first update for the Galaxy models launched in 2023 since One UI 6.1.1.

Devices compatible with Samsung September update

Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are some of the devices compatible with the new Samsung software update in the US.

While the carrier-locked models are said to be receiving updated version S91xUSQS4CXHC, the factory-unlocked Galaxy phones are getting firmware version S91xU1UES4CXHC. Those willing to install the so-far latest security patch right away are advised to go to the Settings → Software update.

While the update hasn't accompanied any assortment of new features, it does away with 67 security vulnerabilities spotted in the previous one.

In the One UI 6.1.1 update, the company integrated a deluge of some notable AI features, including Sketch to Image, Composer, and Chat Assist.
