In a move exemplifying the peak of cross-platform integration of two entirely different services, Spotify has officially joined the ChatGPT experience, bringing personalised music recommendations right into conversations.

Spotify's integration into ChatGPT is available in English across 145 countries, works on ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Pro accounts via both web and mobile (iOS and Android).

No matter if they're using ChatGPT's Free or Premium plan, Spotify users can now discover music without exerting much effort.

Once connected, users can ask ChatGPT for song or playlist suggestions based on mood, genre, or artist and instantly open them in the Spotify app. From relaxing tunes to workout anthems, discovery is now just a prompt away.

Already accessible on more than 2,000 devices — from cars and TVs to smart home systems — Spotify has been expanding where and how listeners engage with their favourite sounds.

Within ChatGPT, the streaming service is transforming everyday conversation into an access point for musical exploration, helping fans rediscover old favourites or uncover new artists.

“Spotify’s vision has always been to be everywhere you are,” said Sten Garmark, Spotify's SVP and Global Head of consumer experience.

"By bringing Spotify into ChatGPT, we’re creating a new way for fans to connect with artists and creators conversationally.”

The streaming giant has also confirmed that no music, podcasts, or video content from its platform will be shared with OpenAI for training purposes to ensure creators’ work remains fully protected.
