SUPARCO and the Space Research Centre at the University of Central Punjab's (UCP) joint initiative RESOLVE is reportedly hosting a series of “Space Camp 2025” workshops in Lahore.
The space-oriented workshops are being organised in celebration of World Space Week 2025.
Themed "Design, Build and Launch Your First Satellite," these workshops result from a collaboration between the planning and development ministry, Kalam4Solutions, the Pakistan Innovation Fund, and various academic institutions.
These workshops will take place at several universities in Lahore, including UCP, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), and Information Technology University (ITU). It's worth mentioning that students from all educational institutions will be allowed to participate.
Attendants will get to engage in hands-on training using CANSAT and EYASSAT educational kits, covering the entire satellite mission lifecycle that encompasses all aspects between concept, design, integration, launch demonstrations, and data analysis.
The best teams will qualify for the National CANSAT Competition in October 2025, a key event during Pakistan’s World Space Week celebrations.
Space Camp 2025 is a testament to the prominent universities and government bodies' willingness to nurture Pakistan’s future space scientists and engineers, equipping them with the right skills and confidence to advance Pakistan in global space exploration.
