Tinder, an online dating app, is planning to end the long-festering nightmare of having to look at yourself long enough to select profile pictures.
The new photo selector feature utilises AI to pore through pictures to choose the ones most likely to receive that much-coveted right swipe.
The 'Photo Selector' feature works by automatically browsing through a mobile’s entire camera roll and using AI algorithms to pick the, well, hottest ones.
The company said, “With Photo Selector, Tinder offers a digital companion that curates a diverse selection of photos from users’ camera roll optimised to help users find a match.”

You have to pose for a selfie and provide the system access to the camera roll to start. The AI utilises that selfie to search for other photos and presents you with a selection of your best and brightest glow-ups. Tinder claimed that young singles spend 33 minutes on average choosing the right profile photo to use.
Photo Selector is set to be available to US customers later this month, with a global release coming at some point during the summer.
According to Tinder, Photo Selector aims to help you focus on “making significant connections” by saving them time when putting dating profiles together.
