Unsurprisingly, the renowned short video-sharing platform TikTok remains the top scorer with 15 million downloads in just five months of 2024. Despite its ever-increasing fame, TikTok's this year's toll still lags behind the milestone it secured last year, bagging 37 million downloads.
On the other hand, the Meta-owned messaging app WhatsApp appears to have done well so far this year, as it snatched the second slot among the top 10 apps in Pakistan by downloads. WhatsApp was downloaded by 14.63 million users during the first five months of the current year.
On the third slot on the list is also another Meta-owned app, Facebook, with 11.99 million downloads, which is over 15 million fewer downloads compared to how much it secured last year.
Similarly, Snapchat's this year's downloads also pointed towards slower growth at the fourth slot on the list, as it accumulated only 8.36 million downloads, compared to 21.1 million downloads in the previous year.
Securing the fifth position, the Meta-owned social media platform Instagram was downloaded 6.5 million times, bagging around nine million fewer downloads compared to those of the previous year.
In the gaming sphere, the gaming app Yalla Ludo, secured sixth position with 4.08 million downloads.
At the bottom of the list are the following apps that put an end to the top ten apps list.
