Owing to essential repair work on the waterline project, Major roads in Karachi have been blocked, with the closure scheduled to run from November 10 through December 31, 2025.

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board is carrying out repairs to a major waterline, prompting the closure of University Road from November 10 to December 30, 2025.

Besides, the section of road from Hassan Square to Nipa Chowrangi will also remain shut for 51 days due to these repairs.

The project is being overseen by the Sindh Government's Karachi Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP).

Authorities have issued an apology for the disruption, emphasising that this work is vital for enhancing water supply services in the area.

In light of the traffic disruption caused by the ongoing repairs, the public is advised to take alternative routes during this period to avoid inconvenience.
