Apple is soon to roll out spatial photo and video support to Safari for all the Vision Pro users, as Apple product manager Della Huff and designer Billy Sorrentino revealed the news in an interview with PetaPixel.

Users will be able to capture spatial photos and videos with the flagship iPhone 16 series, iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max and the Vision Pro.

Moreover, it is important to note that spatial photo support for the ‌iPhone 15 Pro is all set to roll out in iOS 18.1 next week.

Currently, spatial photos and videos are only viewable on Vision Pro whenever they are directly shared through Messages, email, or AirDrop, which makes it quite challenging to view content from different pages. Furthermore, Browser support for spatial videos and photos will allow iPhone users to share the content.

Sorrentino said: "Once you embed spatial content, folks who are on Vision Pro are getting spatial and folks who are just looking at it on their laptop see it in two dimensions."

However, the release date of spatial photos and video support to Safari is still under wraps, but it is likely to be introduced in the last quarter of the year to include in a VisionOS 2.2 update.
