Vlektra has officially unleashed an upgraded version of its long-range electric motorcycle, the Velocity 180, with advanced features.
The Pakistan-based automobile company revealed that the upgraded model, dubbed the Velocity 180 Special Edition, introduces significant performance and design enhancements while maintaining the same 180-kilometre range per charge.
Vlektra Velocity 180 Special Edition features
The major upgrade in the Velocity 180 Special Edition is a 2000W BLDC motor, which is more advanced and powerful compared to the 1500W hub motor in the standard Velocity 180. This allows the new variant to reach a top speed of 85 km/h, up from the original 65 km/h.
Moreover, torque has been increased from 100 Nm to 120 Nm. Other key advancements include dual disc brakes at both front and rear, tubeless tyres, and three ride modes with reverse assistance, offering greater flexibility and control.
According to the company, the charging time has also been slightly reduced, with the Special Edition taking 3.5 hours to fully charge using a 10 Amp AC charger, versus the 4 hours required for the standard model.
While both models are equipped with a 72V 36Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, the Special Edition adds a distinct visual upgrade with a blazing red colour scheme.
Velocity 180 Special Edition price and booking
The introductory price of Velocity 180 Special Edition has been set at Rs375,000, with bookings open against a down payment of Rs50,000.
It is worth noting that Vlektra has announced that test rides are available at its showrooms and deliveries are expected to begin within 30 days.
