SpaceX shall make history today on October 13 with the launch of its Starship Flight 5. It is a historic test mission towards reusability in space travel, and it has the world's most powerful rocket in the form of the Starship and Super Heavy for taking humankind to the moon and beyond.
Space-X's Starship Flight 5 Launch would occur today at 8am EDT (1200 GMT) from the company's Starbase facility near Boca Chica Beach in South Texas. This would be a test flight and re-entry without an issue wherein the Super Heavy first stage would have to return to the pad and get caught in mid-air by the "Mechazilla" pad structure. It would help cut turnaround time for launches of the Starship.

SpaceX plans to make Starship and Super Heavy fully reusable. NASA would be using this spacecraft to land the astronauts of the mission called Artemis 3 on the moon in late 2026. One of the most critical tests of reusability would be the capturing of the Super Heavy booster.
Initially, the FAA had deferred the launch until November. However, after an evaluation of safety and environmental considerations, on October 12, the FAA officially granted a launch license to SpaceX.
