WeTransfer, a file transferring service, announced that it is now limiting users to 10 transfers per month with its free plan. The company is already implementing the new limit to users, according to the support page.

Moreover, WeTransfer is integrating some advantages to the free plan, including increasing the overall file transfer limit from 2GB to 3GB, adding unlimited portals and reviews, password protection for all transfers, along removing a 5% fee on paid transfers, a program letting users sell files on the platform.

WeTransfer new plan

Users will be now allowed to do 10 transfers per month with its free plan, while if they want more transfer limits, required to purchase a WeTransfer premium.

Earlier, WeTransfer had a Pro and Premium plan pricing of $15 per month and $25 per month in the US and the company is bundling all benefits in a $25 per month Ultimate plan.

The company, which was acquired by Italy-based Bending Spoons in July, is changing its overall pricing structure.

There is a new WeTransfer Starter plan that is priced at $6.99 per month. The starter plan has the same benefits as the free plan with an increased size limit of 300GB.

With its new free plan and new paid tiers, WeTransfer is turning to a model that is much more restrictive yet feature-packed, offering users tools, such as password protection and increased file size limits, a transfer cap could be a good reason to pay for these plans.
