In a bid to enhance the users’ messaging experience, the popular messaging platform WhatsApp has introduced a new feature which enables users to send original quality media in the format of a file.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature will be available to a very limited group of users as it is being rolled out only for the users of WhatsApp Beta, a testing programme developed by WhatsApp.
The feature to send original quality media in file format is available exclusively for iOS users who have the latest update of WhatsApp.
With its new feature, WhatsApp is paving the way to provide its users with a unique standpoint where they get the opportunity to preserve the original quality.
To avail of this feature, users are required to install version 23.24.73 of the latest update for WhatsApp Beta for iOS.
Since the developers are working to ensure the feature’s availability for a broader audience, some users may not see this feature during these initial weeks, as mentioned in the changelog on the App Store.
Fortunately, some users with the older update of the app will also be able to relish the new feature without having to download the latest version of the app.
Other features of the latest WhatsApp update
The official changelog further states that latest update will also enable users to initiate voice chats in large groups without ringing everyone.
Additionally, the update includes new chat bubbles to help users track missed, ongoing, and completed calls, along with the ability to react to status updates using their avatars.
