The WhatsApp beta Android 2.25.5.8 update from the Google Play Store has reportedly been experiencing issues when accessing shared content and viewing status updates.

To resolve this issue, Meta-owned WhatsApp is now reportedly releasing a bug-fix update to resolve an issue with downloading media, impacting photos, videos, voice notes, GIFs, and more, according to WABetaInfo.

This significant update also brings an enhanced calling experience with a smooth and more intuitive interface, consolidating video and voice call options into a single, easy-to-access menu. This latest redesign aims to reduce accidental calls and improve call management by enabling users to select particular participants in group calls and create call links.

Despite several attempts to fix this issue by restarting the device or force-stopping the app, users continued to experience disruptions. To address these issues, a bug-fix update has been released.

Users are encouraged to download the latest update from the Google Play Store to resolve the issue instantly and restore normal functionality. For those who have enabled auto-updates, the fix is already installed. However, it is recommended to back up chat history before updating it to prevent any damage.
