WhatsApp has launched the latest way to create communities directly from the floating action button within the Chats tab. This significant update reduces the need to navigate to a new tab, enhancing its visibility and accessibility.

In addition, Meta-owned WhatsApp has added a shortcut to the overflow menu, offering an alternative entry point for community creation. These updates come as WhatsApp experiments with numerous ways to access the feature, considering future interface updates, including a dedicated tab for artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chatbots.

Since the AI-powered chatbot tab is likely to replace the Communities, WhatsApp is integrating several access points for community creation. It ensures users can still access the feature even if the Communities tab is removed.

However, it remains unclear whether WhatsApp will entirely transform to the AI-powered chatbots tab or retain the Communities tab alongside it. It is important to note that these updates suggest WhatsApp’s effort to streamline community management by offering several intuitive and smooth access points.

The latest community feature is currently accessible to a few beta testers who have already downloaded the latest WhatsApp beta for Android through the Google Play Store. However, the feature is set for wider expansion in the near future.
