In an effort to offer an improved user experience, WhatsApp is gearing up to release the latest Meta AI screen in a future update for Android version 2.25.5.22.
According to WABetaInfo, the upcoming update will let users explore the latest Meta AI screen by long-pressing the floating action button from the chat list, allowing voice commands for easier interaction. This ensures a seamless and intuitive user experience.
The latest shortcut will offer a faster way to interact with the chatbot using voice input, as the chatbot can automatically start listening to the prompt instantly upon opening the dedicated screen, without any manual activation, making interactions with the chatbot even smoother.
It is important to note that Meta AI will only listen to a user's voice when this dedicated screen is open—ensuring privacy and control over voice interactions.
It's worth mentioning that Meta AI will be capable of listening to a user's voice when this dedicated screen is launched, ensuring users have control over when the chatbot can proactively process voice input.
In addition, the Android OS will show a privacy indicator in the status bar whenever Meta AI is actively listening for improved transparency.
Since the indicator is used by the OS, no app can modify its behaviour to hide its activity.
Moreover, users can stop the listening mode and switch to text-based chat only with a simple click on the microphone button and insert text in the input field.
With the Meta AI screen, users can configure the chatbot's voice settings directly from the interface, reducing the need to navigate via the chatbot info screen.
Meta-owned WhatsApp’s upcoming feature will eliminate the need to manually enter a chat and select a mode of interaction. Instead, the AI will be immediately ready to help upon using the dedicated screen in the near future.
