WhatsApp on Tuesday launched its Apple Watch app for the first time, which allows users to use their watch to get call notifications, read messages, and record and send voice messages.
Meta-owned instant messaging platform noted that your personal messages and calls are protected with end-to-end encryption. Other supported features include the ability to react to messages and the option to see more of your chat history on-screen when reading messages.
In a blog post, WhatsApp said: "This new experience will help you stay on top of your chats without needing to pull out your iPhone.
"In addition to reading and responding to messages, for the first time, WhatsApp on Apple Watch will now support many requested features,” added the instant messaging app.

The new WhatsApp Apple Watch app need an Apple Watch Series 4 or later, running watchOS 10 or later. The company plans to deliver more functionalities to Apple Watches in the near future.
According to Meta, this launch marks a “big upgrade for your wrist”, adding that the app is designed to help users stay on top of their chats “without needing to pull out your iPhone”.
