Renowned instant messaging app WhatsApp is about to release a theme customisation feature for iOS users.

According to WABetaInfo, the feature is in the development stage, but after getting released, it will offer five distinct theme accents that will apply to the app interface.

With the latest update, the Meta-owned platform will allow users to choose an accent theme colour for some segments of the app’s UI, including the message counts on the right side of the chat list, the circles around status updates, the colours of selected tabs at the bottom, and some buttons on the interface.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp’s latest version for iOS shows these elements in a blue colour accent.

Theme colours on WhatsApp for iOS

WABetaInfo shared a screenshot showing five colour accent options: green, off-white, pink, purple, and the current blue accent. Users will be informed that selecting one of these five options will only change the app’s main branding colour.

WABetaInfo also reported that a more recent version of WhatsApp beta is being rolled out to testers through the TestFlight program. The beta version is now available for iOS 24. 1.10.72, and it supports a new feature. The new feature allows beta testers to use a sticker editor that could remove the need for the party sticker apps entirely.

Create own stickers on WhatsApp

By tapping on an existing sticker, beta testers will be able to edit it using the Edit Sticker feature. Another button called Create Your Own allows you to create your own stickers in the app. Users will also be able to remove backgrounds from images while creating their own stickers.

These features are expected to be rolled out to WhatsApp for Android soon.
