YouTube has reportedly acknowledged its mistake of accidentally removing several channels, citing violations of its "spam, deceptive practices, and scams policy."

Over the past few hours, the popular video streaming removed various channels, causing frustration among users.

Following the removal, affected content creators were not able to upload videos or listen to music and lost access to paid subscriptions. However, later, the platform acknowledged the issue and is actively working to fix it.

Taking to its support page, the company revealed that the removal has affected the users’ ability to access YouTube TV, YouTube Premium, and YouTube Music subscriptions.

“We’re seeing reports of channels being incorrectly removed for spam & deceptive practices. Our teams are actively working on reinstating the channels,” the company stated.

“If your channel was incorrectly removed and reinstated, you might notice some content, such as playlists, might be missing. Don’t worry, this is just a delay and all your content will soon be restored,” YouTube added.

While YouTube continues to address the situation, users are hopeful that the platform will automatically resolve the problem without further action on their part.

However, the company has not revealed what led to this error, but users anticipate the platform to share more details once it’s done restoring all removed channels.
