YouTube appears committed to supporting empowering content creators, as it has introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI) tool to simplify music composition for videos.
Since copyright infringement has been an incredibly concerning thing for content creators, YouTube's latest AI music feature has come to make it easier to generate original background tracks.
The video streaming giant disclosed Music Assistant, the new music feature, through YouTube’s Creator Insider channel. A demo was also provided on the feature's functionality by Lauren from the Creator team.
YouTube's new AI music feature is located under the Creator Music beta section. To generate AI-driven background tracks that match with their content, creators just have to enter simple command prompts, such as “Give me uplifting and motivational music for a workout montage".
Once given a prompt, Music Assistant produces a diverse range of options creators can listen to, download, and incorporate into their video projects. YouTube's Music Assistant just started to be rolled out gradually to users with access to Creator Music.
The latest AI feature from YouTube comes in the midst of rapidly increasing demand for AI integration on the platform's every feature and functionality.
Given that, renowned tech giants like Stability AI, Meta (with AudioCraft and MusicGen), and others have designed tools generating custom audio from text prompts.
