YouTube releases Pakistan’s most watched videos, creators list of 2024

As 2024 comes to an end, YouTube on Wednesday released its “End-of-Year List 2024” for Pakistan, shedding light on the most-watched videos and content creators across the platform this year.

This year, YouTube experienced remarkable growth in Pakistan, with local creators producing a record-breaking amount of content. However, the total hours of content uploaded by Pakistani content creators saw a significant 60% increase over the past year.

YouTube’s End-of-Year List 2024 for Pakistan

YouTube’s “End-of-Year List 2024” features three categories, including “Top Trending Videos”, “Top Music Videos” and “Top Creators”, offering a fascinating glimpse into Pakistan's love for drama, music, and creativity and painting a vivid picture of their preferences in popular culture.

YouTube’s Top Trending Videos list for Pakistan

YouTube’s Top Trending Videos list featured popular Pakistani dramas, including:

  • Ishq Murshid (Episode 20)
  • Jaan Nisar (Episode 1)
  • Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum (Episode 1)
  • Akhara (Episode 1)

Moreover, the list also included South Indian blockbusters like “Tiger Nageswara Rao.”

YouTube’s Top Music Videos list for Pakistan

The Top Music Videos list celebrated diversity, ranging from Punjabi bangers to popular Bollywood songs. The list includes:

  • 90-90 Nabbe Nabbe by Gippy Grewal
  • Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2
  • Balo Batiyan ft. Ali Zafar and Atta Ullah
  • Tauba Tauba from Bad Newz
  • Teri Baaton Mein ft. Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon

Most-watched creators on YouTube in Pakistan 

The Top Creators list featured famous names like Rajab’s Family, Anaya Eshaal Family, Arshad Reels, UR Cristiano, and Ducky Bhai. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s one of the youngest YouTubers, Muhammad Sheraz’s, Shirazi Village Vlogs channel came on ninth.

However, Google's Country Director for Pakistan, Farhan Qureshi, stated: “Pakistani creators are captivating audiences worldwide. We're excited about the possibilities of AI in taking their content creation to the next level and building stronger connections with viewers."

He also mentioned that over 65% of watch time on local content came from global viewers, showcasing Pakistani creators’ worldwide demand.
