In Pakistan's booming auto sector, which is witnessing a fierce contest between renowned carmakers, a wildly famed electric vehicle (EV) maker, Capital Smart Motors, has debuted its popular EV, Zeekr 009 luxury MPV, in Pakistan.
Designed to deliver a blend of cutting-edge technology with passenger comfort, the Zeekr 009, a fully electric luxury EV, ranks as one of the priciest EVs in the country.
Zeekr 009 EV's headline feature is its panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting, and Yamaha speakers that together complement the in-cabin experience.
The second row is particularly lavish, offering Nappa leather seats with headrest speakers, massage, heating, ventilation, and a zero-gravity recline function. Even the third row is crafted for comfort, featuring reclining seats, leather armrests, and oscillating air vents.
In the driver’s area, luxury is equally emphasised with a moonroof, Alcantara headliner, massaging seats, and a stylish ambient-lit dashboard.
Other notable integrations like wireless charging, layered storage, and a digital cluster also enhance utility while maintaining the premium feel.
On the performance side, the Zeekr 009 offers a range of up to 686 km and produces an impressive 536 horsepower. Its fast-charging system allows a 10-80% charge in just about 12 minutes. The vehicle also offers generous storage space with both a rear cargo area and a front trunk.
Since the official rates have not been disclosed yet by the manufacturer, the expected price of the Zeekr 009 MPV is PKR 37-40 million, meaning that it might challenge luxury players like Lexus and Mercedes-Benz.
It remains clear that EV's success is also contingent upon how quickly Pakistan develops EV charging infrastructure.
