In response to the flood emergency, Zong has announced 30 free Zong on-net minutes and 30 free all-network SMS for subscribers in flood-affected regions.
The company revealed that the complimentary minutes are valid for three days, which will allow residents to stay connected with family, emergency responders, and relief agencies during this critical time.
Notably, the initiative covers severely affected districts including Bagh, Bajaur Agency, Buner, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Swat, where heavy rains and flash floods have disrupted lives, damaged homes, and hampered essential communication channels.
Zong remains committed to leveraging its nationwide infrastructure to offer both immediate relief and long-term resilience during times of crisis.
Zong Head of Marketing Sajid Munir stated: “As Pakistan faces yet another natural disaster, Zong stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the nation.”
“Connectivity is a lifeline in emergencies, and through this initiative, we aim to ensure that our customers in the affected regions can reach their loved ones and get the help they need without any barriers,” Munir added.
It is worth noting that Pakistan is grappling with the devastating aftermath of flash floods and torrential rains in its northern regions.
The death toll has tragically surged to over 340, with the mountainous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, particularly Buner district, bearing the brunt of the disaster.
