After hours of grappling with an unexpected disruption affecting the service's access, the Zoom outage has finally been resolved, announced the company.

The widespread outage, taking over Zoom's website, video calls, and app services in the United States and various parts of the world, left thousands of users unable to access the platform.

According to Reuters, citing data showed by the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, it came to light with a sharp uptick in user complaints.

At the peak of the Zoom outage, Downdetector showed that more than 67,000 users encountered issues with Zoom at around 3:01pm (ET).

Users across the US and several other countries reported problems when accessing Zoom’s web version and app, making it difficult for many to attend important meetings and online classes.

Zoom confirmed the incident and informed users through its official account on X (formerly Twitter), stating: “Service has now been restored after the earlier outage.” The company has not yet disclosed the root cause behind the outage, but assured users that systems are back up to normal.
