China's automobile industry is experiencing an evolution with the integration of adavanced artificial intelligence (AI). From autonomous features to intelligent interiors, AI is making vehicles more smart, comfortable, and efficient.

Automakers like BYD, Geely, and XPeng are integrating AI into design, production, and sales, creating vehicles that feel more like personal assistants than just transportation.

AI-powered systems can adjust seats, music, and temperature based on a driver’s mood. They plan routes using real-time traffic data and even send alerts for nearby charging stations.

“AI in cars can act as a travel guide, a personal secretary, and even engage in conversations,” said iFLYTEK's senior system architect Chen Xiaobo. These advancements are helping car companies cut manufacturing costs by 25% and reduce unnecessary marketing expenses by 70%.

The AI revolution is receiving international attention. Finnish AR computer software maker Basemark has now ventured into China's market, while Spanish multinational Gonvarri witnesses 20% per annum growth in sales owing to China's demand for smart car technology increasing. Experts think global firms need to target mass-market cars to maximise profits.

As vehicles transform into "third spaces" where people work, play, and unwind, demand for AI-enhanced features will continue to surge. Market experts predict AI as a vital part of vehicles just like water for humans, so China will play a crucial role in the era of smart mobility.
