Apple is just mere hours away from hosting its annual “Awe Dropping” event 2025, scheduled to kick off today at 10pm (PKT).

The Cupertino-based tech giant is highly anticipated to launch the iPhone 17 series, consisting of iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, and AirPods Pro 3.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple seems to have shifted its focus away from sound upgrades and towards health features on AirPods Pro 3.

AirPods Pro 3 rumours

At today's "Awe Dropping" event, the biggest addition will be heart rate tracking, using LED optical sensors. The AirPods Pro 3 will measure blood flow to monitor heart rate.

If they function like the Powerbeats Pro 2, the collected health data will also sync seamlessly with leading fitness and wellness apps.

In terms of hardware advancement, Apple is expected to have a refreshed design for a better overall fit, though specific changes are likely to be announced at Apple's September 9 event.

The charging case will also undergo a redesign, slimming down to resemble the more compact AirPods 4 case for easier portability.

On the other hand, other anticipated launches include the Apple Watch Series 11 with improved health monitoring and battery life, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 offering faster charging, satellite support, 5G connectivity, and a larger screen, and the AirPods Pro 3 with a refreshed design and upgraded specifications.
