The Australian government has eased the process for a visa application by eligible Pakistanis, enabling them to submit their identity information on the Australian Immi App.
Applicants must bring a “requirement to provide personal identifiers (biometrics)” letter, which has a Visa Lodgement Number (VLN) that begins with either AUI or AUH, and a valid passport.
Applicants whose VLN does not begin with one of these codes are still required to attend an Australian Biometrics Collection Centre.
Moreover, the applicants' smartphones must be either iOS or Android, have a stable internet connection, have camera access, have Near-Field Communication (NFC) enabled, and have location services on. Once downloaded, applicants are able to complete their identity check through the app.
This is one of Australia's ways to cut time with visa applications, eliminating in-person appointments.

- Scan the barcode on your biometrics letter or enter the code manually.
- Each family member must use their own VLN.

- Scan the chip if prompted for additional verification.
- Review all details captured to ensure accuracy.
- Follow the in-app instructions to take a clear, well-lit photo.
- Review all inputs and submit for verification through the app.
