Another passenger train gets modern upgrade: Details inside

Pakistan Railways on Friday launched another upgraded rake of the 125-Up and 126-Down Lasani Express with advanced passenger coaches on the Lahore-Narowal-Sialkot route. 

Additional General Manager Mechanical Yousaf Khan stated that the upgrade aligns with the railways' plan to transform the system, along with operations under the direction of Federal Minister of Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi. 

The new rake will give you a safer, more comfortable, and convenient travel experience. 

Khan said that thousands of passengers travelling to and from Lahore and Sialkot will benefit from the new coaches, and Pakistan Railways plans to launch more modern rakes for other trains in the near future.

He directed officials to further improve onboard services, seating comfort, and apply strict cleanliness standards to provide passengers with a better experience without any issues. 

Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the newly upgraded Karachi Cantt Railway Station with new facilities, including waiting areas and Commercially Important Person (CIP) lounges.

The premier advised the federal government to work with all provinces to extend the railway network to Central Asia, particularly highlighting the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan railway line project.
