Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has made a major change to its gas load‑shedding plan in Balochistan, shortening the load-shedding hours by about two hours.

An SSGC spokesperson said gas supply in Balochistan will now be interrupted from 12am to 5am. The previous suspension hours for gas supply in the province were from 10pm to 5am.

This change implies that the interruption will now last only five hours, and residents will have a longer supply of gas.

The company explained that this change was made in keeping with the Chief Minister of Balochistan's express directives and the recent order from the Balochistan High Court.

SSGC said the new schedule will take effect immediately and will ensure that the new load-shedding timeline is in effect.

The company expressed its hopes that the new load-shedding time will offer convenience to citizens with improved and stable gas service throughout the province.

The company spokesperson further stated that SSGC is committed to improving gas supply and will still track the planter for future improvements.
