With a new airline set to take off soon, the government of Punjab has started recruiting for the province's upcoming airline, Air Punjab.

Hiring is underway for senior management roles, such as company secretary, chief executive officer, chief operating officer, chief commercial officer, chief financial officer, head of human resources, and chief information officer.

The government is also advertising these positions, and interested candidates are encouraged to apply.

The deadline for applications is December 10. The airline will begin hiring more employees as soon as the top management team is established.

Earlier, the working committee had asked the provincial finance department for Rs1 billion in funding to assist with the launch.

The Lahore-Islamabad route has been designated as the first operational corridor, and five aircraft will be leased during the first phase of operation.

The airline's goals are to increase regional connectivity, facilitate domestic air travel, and foster trade and tourism throughout Punjab.

It is anticipated that Air Punjab will soon begin commercial operations, giving passengers additional travel options.

An important step in enhancing air travel in the area has been taken with the airline's launch.
