The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) on Monday issued an advisory for overseas Pakistanis — particularly those living in the United Kingdom — about a fake website pretending to be the authority to scam users.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Nadra stated that the fraudulent platform, functioning under the name 'NADRA Card Centre', is falsely offering services such as National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) processing, ID card issuance, and even job opportunities.

The authority clarified that the platform has no affiliation with Nadra and is misusing the name to scam the users. Officials warned that any personal information submitted on the fake platform may be exploited, potentially leading to financial fraud or identity theft.

Last week, Nadra urged citizens to collect their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) within the given time after its issuance.

The authority noted that CNICs that remain uncollected are disposed of after three months, then you're required to reapply and pay the prescribed fee to have the CNIC reissued.
