In an important step towards providing unmatched in-flight connectivity, Emirates has formally announced the rollout of Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire in-service fleet.

The first-ever Starlink-equipped A380 is scheduled to launch the groundbreaking service, which was first introduced on a Boeing 777 flight on November 23.

Emirates hopes to have the biggest Starlink fleet by early 2026, with 232 planes planned for installation over the next two years.

Streaming, gaming, making calls, and browsing the internet will be effortless for passengers thanks to seamless, fast internet access on both seatback screens and personal devices.

The aircraft will have complete coverage, with three Starlink antennae on the A380 and two on each Boeing 777.

Visitors can get a firsthand look at the state-of-the-art technology at the Dubai Airshow by viewing the first Boeing 777-300ER, registered A6-EPF.

Installations will continue at a rate of 14 aircraft per month, with A380S going into service in February 2026.

The partnership was praised by Emirates President Sir Tim Clark, who said, "Starlink delivers the fastest Wi-Fi in the skies, complementing our upgraded cabins and entertainment systems."

"Passengers can enjoy the same internet experience as on the ground," said SpaceX vice president Chad Gibbs, echoing the sentiment.

All passengers will be able to use the Starlink Wi-Fi service for free, demonstrating Emirates' commitment to providing first-rate in-flight connectivity.
