Changan Lumin EV set to be unveiled at Pakistan Auto Show 2024

Changan Pakistan is gearing up to enter the electric vehicle (EV) industry with the launch of Changan mini EV “Lumin” at the highly-anticipated Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) which is set to take place from October 25 to 27 in Lahore. 

Changan Lumin coming to Pakistan

Shortly after introducing its premium EV sub-brand Deepal, Changan recently teased the unveiling of this two-door EV, generating buzz among Pakistani automotive enthusiasts. 

Introduced in June 2022, the mini EV gained popularity in China due to its unique, rounded design, compact size, and affordability.

The local automotive company is set for a thrilling transformation, driven by the adoption of innovative technology by other industry players. 

Changan Lumin features

Changan Lumin was first available in two battery options:

  • 12.92 kWh: Range of up to 155 km.
  • 17.65 kWh: Range of up to 210 km.

Later, the company introduced a 27.99 kWh battery option, offering an extended range of 301 km. 

Changan Lumin features a body length of 3270 mm, width of 1700 mm, and height of 1545 mm and is powered by a single electric motor (FWD) that generates 30 kW (41 hp). A more powerful 35 kW (48 hp) motor option will also be available, offering an efficient driving experience. 

The EV also offers a trunk space of 104 litres, with the second-row seats folded down.
