ChatGPT Plus users likely to get access to Advanced Voice Mode today

ChatGPT was released at the end of 2022 and has been seamlessly receiving a few significant features that have created it viral among users all across the globe. One of the highly popular features is the Advanced Voice Mode which rolled out in May 2024, which allows ChatGPT to foster enhanced and natural voice-based conversations and all the users are anticipating to try it out.

ChatGPT Plus users to receive Advanced Voice Mode access

Currently, a rumour is being swirled on X (formerly Twitter) that a certain group of ChatGPT Plus users will receive access to this feature today (September 24).

The render in question includes an email from OpenAI mentioning that “access to the Advanced Voice mode alpha on September 24 2024, will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to participation invitations and the specific criteria set for the alpha testing phase,” and ChatGPT users are “among the first to receive access to new features.”

Further reports suggested that a few users would be able to access this feature while the remaining ones are likely to receive access in the fall season. However, OpenAI has still not officially revealed the date for the entire release of the Advanced Voice Mode. 

The timeline will be in the near future, as OpenAI’s biggest rival Google has already unveiled the Gemini Live, a chatbot version with advanced voice capabilities, facilitating users to perform several innovative tasks.
