The announcement held by OpenAI about the upgraded Voice Mode in ChatGPT has been showing no signs of its launch yet that have sparked an interest and curiosity among AI enthusiasts.

The advanced Voice Mode, which was announced in May, aims to revolutionise human-AI interactions with fast responses and natural conversations. However, the upgraded Voice Mode was initially scheduled for the release in late June.

This advanced technology of Open AI is a significant upgrade to the ChatGPT's existing voice capabilities that would be able to effectively understand and respond with several emotions and non-verbal cues, making conversations feel more natural and human-like with the users.

Interestingly, this feature has a potential to transform various industries, such as customer service, language learning, and entertainment.

This release was meant for a small group of ChatGPT Plus subscribers that would be able to test the feature. Unfortunately, OpenAI has pushed its timeline by at least a month to ensure that the feature being integrated meets their high safety and reliability standards.

According to the company, users can now expect the full release of Open AI’s Voice Mode in fall, with exact timelines dependent on meeting these standards.

Moreover, the OpenAI is utilising the extra time to improve the model's ability to detect and refuse certain content, enhance user experience, and prepare their infrastructure for a larger rollout. These improvements will ensure a seamless and safe experience for users.
