LinkedIn premium gets smarter: New AI job hunting features unveiled

LinkedIn, a business and employment-focused platform, is set to unveil new AI-powered features to help you find jobs, tailor your CV, and get suggestions from AI chatbots.

However, these new features come at a price, as they are available to Premium subscribers striking in English globally.

The tools let you find jobs on LinkedIn by typing a prompt in natural language. LinkedIn chief product officer Tomer Cohen provided an example of “find me a remote marketing job in Detroit that pays at least $110,000.” If the results are good, I could see this being a useful way to seek out potential jobs.

Moreover, LinkedIn can review your resume and give subjective suggestions to enhance for a specific job post. LinkedIn Rohan Rajiv said that you are allowed to upload a resume to get feedback and “make edits interactively with AI.”

There’s a tool to help you create a cover letter “from scrap” with the help of AI. The features add to other Premium-only AI-powered specs LinkedIn started checking last year, which involved the capability to summarise posts from your LinkedIn feed.

Additionally, LinkedIn is not only utilising AI to find a job. It’s also striking to pilot AI personas of a meaningful of experts that you might have chats with to learn more about business topics. Cohen stated, “The responses you’ll receive are trained by experts and represent a blend of insights personalised to each learner’s unique needs.”

Moreover, the company promised that it would enhance the platform’s search more widely with generative AI, but it didn’t share much of specifics.

“With our new search capabilities, every search interaction becomes smarter — whether you’re looking to find someone, explore jobs, conduct outreach, or seek knowledge and answers,” Cohen stated.

“AI is set to revolutionise our search capabilities, enabling you to explore the depth and breadth of any topic directly through LinkedIn search,” Cohen promised that search improvements will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
