Elon Musk’s xAI has introduced Grok, an AI chatbot designed to provide real-time data, answer questions, and generate images from text. It works like ChatGPT but is linked to X (formerly Twitter) for live updates.
Android users can pre-register for the Grok app on Google Play, bringing competition to the AI chatbot market.
Grok now available for pre-registration on Play Store
Grok’s iOS app launched last month, and now the Android version is coming soon. A limited beta version is available for the first 1,000 pre-registered users in India, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines. The full launch date has not been announced, but the app listing says it is "coming soon."
According to xAI, Grok offers features like text rewriting, summarisation, and real-time responses. Users can access the chatbot without an X account, but logging in provides a more personalised experience. The AI is powered by Grok 2, the same model used in its web and premium versions.
Moreover, Grok’s listing on Google Play allows users to pre-register, ensuring they automatically get the app when it officially launches. The chatbot will receive regular updates to improve performance. With its integration with X and web data, Grok aims to be a strong competitor in the AI chatbot space.
If you are from an eligible country and want to try the Grok AI app, visit the Google Play Store and pre-register today.
