This month, NVIDIA's founder and CEO Jensen Huang travelled Washington, D.C., and Beijing to promote how artificial intelligence (AI) can be a boon for businesses and societies around the world.

In the nation’s capital, Huang met with President Trump and other policymakers to encourage efforts related to job creation, building AI infrastructure, more domestic manufacturing, and preserving America’s leadership position in AI technologies.

While in Beijing, Huang met with officials from the government and from industry to discuss AI’s ability to create new opportunities and productivity improvements. The importance of international cooperation for safe and secure AI was also discussed in these meetings.

Huang also provided an update to customers on NVIDIA's plans to resume sales of the NVIDIA H20 GPU with confirmed licenses from the US government, and introduced the NVIDIA RTX PRO GPU for advanced AI applications including a digital twin technology for smart factories and logistics.

Huang believes that AI is at a tipping point today and is now a fundamental resource on par with energy, water, and the internet.

Moreover, Huang emphasised NVIDIA’s commitment to supporting open-source AI research and foundation models that promote innovation and empower emerging economies around the globe, including in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

Huang told reporters, “General-purpose, open-source research and foundation models are the backbone of AI innovation. We believe every civil model should run best on the U.S. technology stack, encouraging nations worldwide to choose America.”
