In what seems to be a testament to Pakistani startups' potential to outpace global competition, two startups, named Finance startups Haball and PostEx, have made it to the Forbes Asia 100 To Watch list for 2025.

Both of the enterprises are part of Zayn VC’s portfolio.

This is the fifth annual list, highlighting the capabilities of the startup scene in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on innovation in AI and deep tech.

Running under the supervision of Omer Bin Ahsan, Haball was founded in 2017 and is based in Karachi. Forbes describes it as a B2B fintech company that provides Pakistani businesses with Shariah-compliant supply chain financing and payment services.

Haball also offers digital invoicing, tax compliance, and working capital financing. It has processed over $3 billion in payments since its launch, according to Business Recorder.

Earlier in April, the fintech firm secured $52 million in a pre-series A funding round, of which $5 million came from Zayn VC and $47 million from Meezan Bank.

PostEx, the second Pakistani startup on the Forbes Asia 100 To Watch list for 2025, was established in 2020 which is also based in Karachi.

This logistics and fintech organisation is led by Muhammad Omer Khan, serving as the CEO, caters to Pakistan’s online retail sector.

Originally debuted as a delivery service, PostEx shifted its model to provide upfront cash payments to e-commerce merchants, making it easier for them to manage cash flow. Earlier in the ongoing month, it raised $7.3 million in a pre-series A round led by Conjunction Capital to expand into the Middle East.

This is the second consecutive year for Zayn VC companies featuring in Forbes, the globally recognised ranking that spotlights notable companies, entrepreneurs, and individuals in business and financial areas.
