Samsung has launched a comprehensive suite of cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features at the Galaxy Unpacked Event 2025, promising to take user experience and productivity to the next level on Galaxy devices.
The company underscored its commitment to deep cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) integration with the latest One UI 7 operating system.
New Galaxy AI features
The major AI features announced are as follows:
Now Brief & Now Bar
Now Brief offers personalised daily insights in a card-style interface, providing information such as weather forecasts, commuting updates, and advanced health metrics incorporated with Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring.
Now Bar showcases these insights as scrollable cards on the lock screen. Both these advanced features are powered by the South Korean tech giant’s on-device Personal Data Engine, ensuring improved security.
AI Select
This cutting-edge AI tool generates content-aware suggestions relying on on-screen content. It efficiently activates writing tools for text and generates GIFs from video snippets.
Conversational AI
Samsung has simplified browsing through settings menus and finding specific images in the Gallery with its Conversational AI feature. Users can use the search option in Settings or the Gallery to describe what they are looking for in natural language, and AI will provide accurate results.
It is important to note that this feature supports text and voice commands.
Drawing Assist
Drawing Assist has received a significant upgrade. The Sketch to Image has been integrated with multimodal capabilities, enabling users to combine doodles and text prompts to generate images and improve creativity.
Camera & editing advancements
- Personal filter: Apply custom hues, tones, and brightness from each image to another one.
- AI video editing: Isolate moving and static objects for noise reduction, enhancing low-light video quality.
- Audio eraser: It efficiently adjusts particular video audio channels, minimising the audio disruption while improving speech.
These advanced features explain the South Korean-based tech giant's push towards a “true AI companion,” providing a personalised user experience with on-device processing.
