Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) on Friday issued its latest schedule for the supply of gas in winters across Pakistan.
Under the latest gas supply schedule for winters, SNGPL aims to manage rising demand amid the ongoing gas shortage in the country. Domestic consumers will receive gas only during specific hours of the day.
Latest gas supply schedule for winters
Here's the new SNGPL winter gas schedule:
- Morning: 5:30am to 8:30am
- Afternoon: 11:30am to 1:30pm
- Evening: 5:30pm to 8:30pm
It should be noted that other than these designated hours, gas pressure will remain low, or supply may be temporarily suspended. This updated gas supply schedule will be applied to Lahore, Islamabad, and all other cities connected to the SNGPL network.
According to SNGPL officials, this initiative aims to distribute limited gas reserves smoothly among urban and rural areas during the peak winter season.
"The schedule is temporary and could be modified depending on weather conditions and gas availability," added SNGPL.
The company advised consumers to set their household routines — particularly cooking — within these time slots to avoid any inconvenience.
