Google has been at the forefront of the AI artificial intelligence (AI) race with its catalogue of AI-paired “help me” tools: History Search, Tab organiser, Tab Compare and more.

The company has carried this trend, including Gemini and AI-generated wallpapers to its Chromebook Plus line.

Now, there’s reason to believe that Chromebook’s ChromeOS will be treated to another AI feature: BlueBuddy. This rather quirkily named feature Is touted as a troubleshooter for Bluetooth connectivity.

According to WindowsReport, hints of this new AI assistant can be found in commit messages and will prompt users to “Enter an Issue and I will recommend a fix.”

The new feature could be christened “Troubleshoot with AI” and could include, adapter, device and debug logs. Presently, it's unclear whether the feature will remain exclusive to the Chromebook Plus line.

Come to think of it, Google’s doing a neat job with the Chromebook, even the most premium models come up under $1,000, making AI accessible to more people.

Besides, ChromeOS updates are simple and fast and don't put up any minimal requirements that would have users abandon their functioning devices just to get a software upgrade.
