In line with the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), the government of Pakistan is also gearing up to integrate AI and space technology into the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) 2025-26.
The development was brought to light by Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal while chairing a meeting to evaluate PSDP 2024-25 utilisation and decide future allocations.
The minister proposed AI integration to automate processes, improve transparency, and enhance efficiency, according to Phone World.
With this initiative, the government seems committed to enhancing governance and public services, making planning, disaster management, and digital transformation more efficient to ensure fast-paced growth.
Aside from leveraging AI, he also proposed the use of SUPARCO’s space technology to keep a watch on project progress on the ground.
The government's these decisions reaffirm its commitment to making the most of modern technological solutions for a results-driven development framework.
