Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is one of the most-awaited games, bringing two main characters Jason and Lucia back to Vice City.
The first trailer, released in 2023, broke records with over 220 million views. However, Rockstar Games has not shared much new information since then.
Recent rumours suggested that GTA 6 could feature user-generated content, allowing players to modify the game’s world, similar to Fortnite and Roblox.
User-generated content in GTA 6
According to Game Rant, Rockstar is in early talks with content creators about adding custom assets and environments. This move could make GTA 6’s online mode even more engaging.
Rockstar has shown interest in player-made content. In 2023, the company acquired CFX.RE, a team behind roleplay servers for GTA Online and Red Dead Online. Roleplaying has been a huge part of GTA 5’s success, and Rockstar might be looking to expand this feature in GTA 6.
However, details remain unclear, and there’s no confirmation on how creators would benefit from their contributions.
While these rumours sound exciting, Rockstar has not officially confirmed any plans for user-generated content in Grand Theft Auto 6. However, the company recently launched an official Discord server for the game, suggesting that more announcements might be coming soon.
GTA 6 launch details
GTA 6 is expected to launch in Fall 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC version has not been announced yet, but recent leaks hint at a possible early 2026 release.
