iOS 18 introduces a revamped Control Centre, the upgraded version offers the users a more intuitive and customisable way they access their iOS device's settings and features.

The Control Centre aims to offer the users several advanced features including personalise your controls option, create multiple pages option, and resize icons. Through these new features, users can easily customise their device settings.

Step-by-step guide

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to customise and use the Control Centre in iOS 18: 

  1. Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to access Control Centre.
  2. Tap the "+" icon in the top left corner to add controls and customise.
  3. Tap and hold a control to move it to a different location.
  4. Tap the "-" icon to remove a control.
  5. Tap the "+" icon and then "Add a Control" to add a new control.
  6. Use the search bar at the top to find specific controls.
  7. Control Centre is separated into three different screens: Favourites, Music, and Connectivity.
  8. Swipe up or down to move from one screen to another, or tap one of the three icons on the right to jump to a specific one.
  9. You can add additional Control Centre pages by tapping the "+" icon and then "Add a Control".
  10. Tap the "+" icon and then tap a control to resize it.
  11. Drag the grey curved handle in the lower-right corner of the control to resize it.
  12. Tap controls to use it (e.g., toggle Wi-Fi on/off, adjust brightness, etc.).
  13. Use the search bar at the top to find specific controls.
  14. Tap the power button in the upper-right corner of Control Centre to power down your device.
  15. Move the icon on the slider to the right to shut down your phone.

Additional tips

  • You can invoke Control Centre from the iPhone Lock Screen as well as the Home Screen.
  • Third-party apps can also be added to Control Centre.
  • You can create up to 15 screens in Control Centre.
