How to port your phone number

When you port your number make sure that the new provider offers services in your area. Since the providers cannot transfer inactive numbers so keep the old line active.

However, for the process, the new service provider will require access to your personal information, including your account number and associated phone numbers. Additionally, they will ask for a transfer PIN code to begin the process.

AT&T customers can find their PIN in the following ways.

  1. Call *PORT.
  2. The company will provide you with the PIN.

Use the AT&T app

  1. Open AT&T app and select More.
  2. Now select Manage profile.
  3. Pick People & Permission.
  4. Go to Transfer phone number
  5. Click Request new pin.
