Huawei appears ready to take on Apple’s upcoming iPhone Air with its own ultra-slim flagship, the Huawei Mate 70 Air. The device was spotted on the China Telecom database, which hinted at an official debut as early as October 29, 2025.
Huawei Mate 70 Air specifications (expected)
According to several rumours surfacing, the Mate 70 Air is said to be a lightweight smartphone that will be offered with a 6.x mm ultra-slim body, marking it as one of the slimmest smartphones manufactured by Huawei yet.
The phone is expected to come with a 6.9-inch display with an 18.8:9 aspect ratio and a new 1/1.3-inch main camera sensor located within Huawei’s XMAGE circular module.
Reportedly, the flagship will be supported with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage and will ship with HarmonyOS 5.
However, while Apple has transitioned its iPhone Air to only being eSIM, this upcoming model will continue to support physical SIMs to cover markets with limited eSIM support.
If these leaks are to be true, then the Mate 70 Air may revive back the brand's legacy of slim phone designs that started with the Ascend P1 S.
Huawei Mate 70 Air price (expected)
In terms of price, the Mate 70 Air may have a price tag ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 yuan, which in Pakistan would cost approximately Rs118,373 to Rs157,830.
