Huawei's MatePad Pro 12.2 set for global launch on September 19

Huawei is ready to launch its other product for the global market. Taking to X (formerly recognised Twitter), the company shared a new tablet teaser which hints that a MatePad device is on the way for worldwide consumers.

However, Huawei hasn’t unveiled the device’s name in the teaser, but according to the image, the tablet appears to be MatePad Pro 12.2. It has already been released in China and is not set to step on the global platform with a range of cutting-edge features to provide users with a great experience with the product.

The shared teaser by the Chinese tech manufacturer mentioned:

“Innovation meets creation. Stay tuned for HUAWEI Innovative Product Launch on 19 September 2024. #HuaweiLaunch #CreationofBeauty”

According to the shared image, the upcoming tablet is said to support an updated Glide Keyboard and stylus. Users can place the stylus on a specific slot given on the keyboard.

MatePad Pro 12.2 is displayed on the TDRA certification site along with the MatePad 12X. It’s expected that Huawei will confirm more details about these tablets in the coming days.

Consumers are set to fetch the benefits of the double-layer OLED screen. This display solution boosts the lifespan of the device by making its screen more durable. It increases the brightness and reduces power consumption by 30%.

Additionally, the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 for global users is likely to include an upgraded GoPaint app version along with Ultra-long battery life. Inputs unveil that the device runs on a Kirin 9010W chipset and provides optimised performance efficiency to consumers.

The tablet houses a 5,050mAh battery which is equivalent to a 10,100mAh cell. It supports Turbocharging with a 100W power adapter. 

Users would be able to enjoy different spectacular features with the HarmonyOS 4.2 software version.

The device is relatable to MatePad Air 2024 and supports a 13MP + 8MP lens arrangement on the rear. There is an 8MP selfie shooter on the front.
