In a surprising event which represent the downtime of Apple, countless iMessage users on Thursday night reported a prolonged outage wherein they were unable to send and receive text messages or even access iMessage.

Shortly after the unfunctional status of iMessage came to light, the iPhone maker acknowledged that an outage had affected iMessage, FaceTime, and HomeKit.

On the contrary, Apple’s System Status webpage doesn’t provide anything indicating any issues with its services till Thursday. In a follow up statement, however, the company announced that the issues was resolved.

At the moment, since the app is functional for some users, it indicates that the accessibility suspension did not have an impact on every user. However, considering numerous reports on X, many iMessage users are still unable to send and receive text messages.
